STUDIO PILATES exercises are done using special equipment, such as the REFORMER, CADILLAC and COMBO CHAIR. With its system of pulleys and springs, handles and straps, the apparatus can provide either resistance or support, depending on your needs.
Studio sessions last for 60-75 minutes, working one-to-one, or in pairs, as the aim is to provide a class appropriate to each individual’s level of fitness, ability and body structure.
- Must be practiced in a specialised Pilates Apparatus studio; apparatus utilises spring loaded resistance, gravity and movement to assist or challenge the body as required to perform the exercises.
- Apparatus sessions are particularly helpful in rehabilitating injury, aiding with specialised conditions and reaching specific training goals. The support available from the apparatus facilitates the ability to target very specific muscle groups that can be difficult to identify without the apparatus feedback.
All classes are by appointment and can be booked for individual classes or semi private sessions with two clients sharing. Classes in the studio utilise all the apparatus designed to both aid assistance in exercises or to challenge the body by the use of resistance springs. Classes are tailored to each individual taking into account their previous history and specific requirements. Semi private classes can be arranged after a course of 6 individual classes if the times are available and clients schedules can be coordinated.
